It can happen to anyone at any time. Overnight, a woman’s life can change, and that change can be overwhelming – job loss, spousal loss, addictions, pregnancy, disability, or illness. For others, it’s not a change but a way of life that’s been handed down from previous generations. Once a person’s life appears hopeless, escape can prove difficult – but not impossible. One needs encouragement, nurture, support, and to become self-sufficient. But most importantly, one needs to experience God’s love, forgiveness and grace.
Christian Women’s Job Corps® exists to minister to women in need with a hand up, not a hand out. This is done by providing a vast array of life skills and job skills training, Bible study, and a mission’s context of helping women rebuild their lives.
CWJC is a non-profit, faith-based agency is recognized as a Nationally Certified Site by the Women’s Missionary Union of the Baptist Church. We join over 200 other CWJC sites around the country in providing a Christian context in which to rebuild women’s lives. We offer two sessions per year (fall and spring) and completed our eighteenth session in the Spring of 2016. Women participating in this program attend an intensive eight-week life and work skills course from 8:15 AM- 12:15 PM, Monday through Friday, at no cost.
About the Logo
The CWJC logo prominently features the cross to represent the centrality of Christ as the path for women to achieve a lifestyle of self-sufficiency through this vital ministry. The circular shape symbolizes the holistic nature of the ministry as all aspects of a woman’s life are positively affected. The color red expresses warmth and symbolizes the deep relationships that women form through mentor-protégé relationships.
